My story
Hi there,
This is the blogging page for Le Tour de Oublie or THE OBLIVION TOUR.
We are 12 (slightly older) blokes who are trying to get fit and raise some money for a great cause – and we are probably going to ride ourselves into oblivion.
On 14th July 2012, we will set off from the UK and ride across the mountains of Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex, cross the channel and then take on the vast wilderness of Northern France with the challenge of reaching the Eiffel Tower in Paris within 36 hours!!
The twelve intrepid Champions of Charity undertaking this monumental task are ;
Phil Battye
Mark Boyt
Nick Boyt
Cris Faqarasan
Ian Matthews
Fredrik Motzfeldt
John Pritchard
John Pilley
Steve Robinson
Ray Sterry
Ben Stringer
and Andrew Thornley
ably supported by our excellent Road Crew!!
We are riding to oblivion to raise money for Breast Cancer Care http://www.justgiving.com/Oblivion – the good people at BCC work tirelessly to try to ensure that every person affected by breast cancer gets the best treatment, information and support.
There will also be fundraising activity for Maggie’s Cancer Centres (http://www.maggiescentres.org/) and you can donate to that charity on a separate link http://www.justgiving.com/philandcris
A special thanks to our fantastic Shirt sponsors;
